A warm welcome to SolveQuest! My name is Tiziana Scaramuzza and I founded SolveQuest because I believe that the secret to a business's success is an analytical and reasoned approach combined with care for customers and workers. In other words, knowing what you are doing and why you are doing it while caring for those who work for you and for your customers.
I have a long-standing interest and experience in reasoned and analytical decision-making and governance. I studied law at Cambridge, Oxford and Coventry universities. My academic work focussed on trustees’ decision-making, accountability and oversight processes. I served as an editor of legal journals at Oxford and Cambridge, published papers in academic journals, was awarded a number of scholarships from a number of institutions. As a qualified lawyer, I worked international law firms in London.
I have advised and supported many whistleblowers, especially in academic institutions, and advised a Shadow Minister and Member of Parliament on social justice, equality, discrimination and whistleblowing and I was invited to contribute to the work of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Whistleblowing.
In supporting whistleblowers, I have liaised with many journalists from most of the major media outlets: the BBC, Channel 4, ITV, Sky and Bloomberg, as well as The Times, Financial Times, The Guardian, The Independent and the Daily Mail. Through this work, I have learnt about effective and ineffective responses by organisations and how wrongdoing can damage the lives of individuals and the reputation of organisations. I also have an in-depth knowledge of how the media identifies and develops stories, which then become scandals. Through my advisory work, I have devised effective ways to identify the seeds of wrongdoing and to prevent them from developing into full-blown scandals.
I have volunteered with a number of charities, including Mind, MacMillan Cancer Support, The Royal British Legion, I worked as Welfare Support Officer for an Oxford college and for a law centre and community hubs. In these roles, I have received extensive training from clinical psychologists and counsellors on communicating with, and supporting, people to help them achieve their objectives.
SolveQuest combines robust, analytical and reasoned decision-making and a passion for helping people and organisations achieve their potential. All of SolveQuest’s work relies on tested principles of governance and accountability and is conveyed to our clients with genuine care and with a respect for their own uniqueness.
